Holiday let changeover software for Cornwall
Weekly lets on the Cornish coast often turn on a Saturday, down lanes and along the A30, with a phone that may not work at the door.
Saturday is the busy day
Weekly lets along the Cornish coast often run Saturday to Saturday, especially in the school summer holiday. A cleaning company can have a long list of checkouts on one morning and a string of arrivals the same afternoon. The gap has to hold the clean, the linen and the drive.
The list is rarely in one village. Houses sit on the north coast, the south coast and down towards the Lizard, joined by lanes and by the A30 when the holiday traffic is on it. Two properties that look close on a booking sheet can be a long drive apart once the caravans are moving.
Signal, dogs and the extra jobs
Phone signal drops in coves and inland valleys. A cleaner at the door may not be able to send a message until they are back on a higher road. The checkout, the next check-in and the access note need to be on the job before they leave, not in a chat they cannot open.
Coastal adverts often mention dogs, and a hot tub is a common extra. Both add work on an already tight Saturday: sand and paw prints, and a tub that has to be checked rather than left. Winter is much quieter, so the cleaners who are fully booked in August may have little work in January. Peak weeks have to be planned before they arrive.
How Changeover Master helps
Put the Cornish Saturday list on one diary before the vans go out, grouped by stretch of coast rather than by the order the messages arrived. Each cleaner gets a private link for their own houses, with the address, the checkout, the next check-in and the access note. There is no cleaner login to arrange in a car park with no signal.
- Calendar sync. Where you connect an iCal feed, those departures become changeovers on the diary. After a successful check the feed is read again about every 15 minutes. That is a sync, not a ping the moment someone books, so a same-day change should also be sent directly.
- Cleaner job links, with no cleaner login. Each cleaner has a private link. They open it on their phone, with no login and no app, and see only the changeovers you assigned. It shows the address, the checkout, the next check-in and the access notes.
- Photo proof. On that link they can add a photo of the finished clean. You see the photo count and the pictures on the changeover. The photos stay private.
- Problem reports. From the same link they can report damage, missing or low supplies, maintenance, cleanliness or guest mess, or other, with a short note. You see an open-problem flag on the changeover. An owner or manager marks it resolved.
- Late-clean alerts. If the clean is not marked done by the cutoff before the next check-in, or today's changeover has no cleaner, the account owner can get one email and the diary can show At risk, then Late. The cutoff starts at two hours and needs a check-in time on the property.
- Unlimited cleaners and staff. Every plan includes unlimited cleaners and staff. The price follows how many active properties you look after, not how many people are on the team.
